The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION; Ability to install, connect and repair motors, condensers, evaporators, and has the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate variable speed drive controllers and other components 440 Volts or less without supervision or assistance in accordance with design specifications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifts from 35 to 100 pounds with the assistance of hoists, dollies, hand trucks, and cranes and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance. Position requires kneeling, crouching, stooping, bending, and climbing to perform duties. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoor and outdoor. Incumbent is subject to constant noises from motors and machinery. Incumbent is exposed to dust, dirt, grease, and extreme temperatures.
You will provide equipment repair, plumbing, and electrical support to the command.
You will install and repair H.V.A.C and refrigeration systems in accordance with as-built drawings and manufacturer design specifications.
You will install, connect, and repair motor condensers and evaporators.
You will repair and overhaul plant components by disassembly, inspection, and replacement of defective parts.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing diagnostic test on equipment to determine problems for corrective action.
