To qualify for an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: Expert in the NIST 800 series, IAVM and STIG Programs, infrastructure audit readiness, and the corresponding oversight for assuring time-sensitive coordination for compliance tracking, facilitation of remediation/migration, risk acceptance, and escalation/reporting to the DLA AO, Joint Force Headquarters DoD information Networks and United States Cyber Command where applicable Expertise to ensure prioritization of emerging and existing technical vulnerabilities are assessed for risk and effectively communicated to management Thorough and comprehensive knowledge is required to provide authoritative advice and guidance, to resolve complex technical problems, to plan, lead and/or conduct program reviews, to develop recommendations for or against agency and/or center adoption of specific technologies/tools, and to provide advisory services Expert knowledge of contract management practices and procedures sufficient to serve as the primary Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for contractor supporting the Compliance Management functions Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Serves as a Cyber Security PM and can be responsible for: Vulnerability management projects, vulnerability analysis projects, IT acquisition risk evaluations, IT tools development projects.
Provide understandable assessment of risk to senior leadership and risk management approaches to minimize risk to the DLA mission.
