To qualify for a Supervisory Production Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing duplicating and production services regarding document automation (conversion of hardcopy to electronic media through various processes and vice versa) Implementing ways to reduce barriers to production, promote team building and improve business processes. Utilizing data-driven analytics to improve manufacturing and services. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Manages and operates branch production and its subordinate sites with typical products and services consisting of electronic conversion, retrieval, output and distribution of digital and hardcopy information.
Directs and administers the DoD document automation and duplicating programs for the DoD and federal customers within the assigned geographic area.
Oversees the procurement of new/upgraded hardware/software/services to accommodate the document automation and duplicating programs
Provides advice and assistance to lower-graded personnel, which will be directly onsite as well as at remote customer locations.
Exercises responsibility for planning and carrying out assignments, managing plant operations, and interpreting and implementing document automation and printing management policies, procedures and standards on own initiative.
Proposes actions and recommendations on changes in organizational structure
Supervises a workforce to meet the significant fluctuating type workload while adjusting assignments.
Analyzes monthly financial reports to identify issues and implement corrections and assists with annual budget for AOR (Area of Responsibility)
