About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Practice Manager (PM), managing the day-to-day operations of the practice, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care needs unencumbered by administrative tasks. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support to a healthcare delivery system team in maintaining and managing healthcare databases; extracting and analyzing data to generate reports to cover areas such as patient metrics, performance measures, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and/or population health management. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Apply strategies to maximize practice capacity for enrollment and workload in support of the organization performance plan.
Utilize databases in order to monitor, trend, and analyze productivity.
Review and make recommendations for all office purchases, temporary duty (TDY) requests, training, and other expenditures.
Assist in the development and implementation of effective patient care systems to achieve practice compliance with the organization policies.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Understand information technology systems and applications used in a medical practice, including productivity applications, electronic communication, Electronic Health Record
