About the Position: This is a Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health) position with Keller Army Community Hospital 900 Washington Road West Point, NY 10996. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health) Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations, providing individual and group therapy, and provides consultation to primary care and specialty clinic providers in a medical setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Applies biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
Provides evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Provides primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
Implements psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
Documents information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
