The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is located at the Liberty Center aboard Naval Station Everett. *Bi-weekly review of applicants*
Must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service or experience with data entry, word processing, internet, e-mail, etc. At least one-year experience handling cash and utilizing point of sale system. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively and courtesy, using proper English both verbally and in writing. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions, and present a neat and clean appearance.
Incumbent will be assigned primarily to the Liberty center to provide direct customer service to patrons using the facility. Responsibilities may include greeting customers, answering telephone calls, providing information regarding the facility and programs. Incumbent assists with planning, coordinating, promotion and execution of scheduled programming, and special events. Checks Liberty Center equipment and resources in and out, collects any applicable fees, inventories items and completes inspections upon return. May be required to drive an 8 or 15 passenger van, keep trip records, participant counts, and custody of equipment. Distribute information. Responsible for collection and safeguarding of any funds that may be collected as a result of a fee or change. Light housekeeping, and other related duties as assigned.
