THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2513P01 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. This is a Temporary position Not to Exceed 2 Years. Two Positions Available
Military Grades: Enlisted Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: - Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; - Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material; - Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; - Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS 09: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have experience and knowledge of laws, DOD Directives, finance regulations and financial management and operating procedures relative to the entitlements and allowances related to the payment of military personnel, civilian personnel, vendors, and travelers. Must have an extensive knowledge of military pay and allowances, civilian pay and allowances, vendor payments, and travel entitlements. GS 11: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and other technical criteria in order to determine propriety of entitlements and pay. Must have experience with multiple financial and accounting systems in order to perform studies related to management improvement, productivity improvement and management controls to analyze and evaluate criteria for the enhancement of all assigned Pay programs (Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable, and Travel Pay). Must have experience with preparing reports and in organizing and delivering briefings to managers, and wing leadership to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Must have experience with military pay and allowances, civilian pay and allowances, vendor payments, and travel entitlements. A detailed grasp of governing regulations and a thorough understanding of pertinent laws, regulations, and other technical criteria in order to determine propriety of entitlements and pay.
As a Financial Management Analyst, GS-0501-9/11, you will plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive Accounting and Financial Management analysis, decision support and quality reviews, of base level accounting and financial management programs.
