Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Air and Marine Operations located in Washington, D.C., San Diego, CA, or El Paso, TX. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing oversight, coordination, and delivery of an organization's external communications strategy products, including high visibility deliverables. Utilizing analytical tools and methodologies to develop and implement policies and regulations Providing reports with conclusions, alternatives and recommendations on policies, projects, and studies. Planning, organizing, and directing teams with realistic objectives or milestones to establish responsibilities, and accomplish mission requirements. Join Customs and Border Protection and utilize your expertise as an analyst or advisor on various program operations and activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative systems analysis, management support principles; and processes and audits of current and historical data and statistics to determine future trends in establishing short-term goals and projecting long-term goals and needed resources. This position starts at a salary of $105,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $137,000.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Typical duties include: Developing, implementing, and monitoring management information systems that focus on long- and short-term strategic plans, and programs in the direction of goals, objectives and priorities. Planning, developing, coordinating, and presenting briefings, and presentations for executive management. Recommending actions to achieve organization's objectives, and recommending future program objectives and improvements. Designing and administering planning and controls to create program resources requests and decisions. Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
