To qualify for GS-14 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. This is a non-bargaining unit position. This position is located under the Office of Intelligence Operations, Investigations Coordination Branch National Firearms Trafficking Center located in Washington, District of Columbia. Manages a branch responsible for criminal investigations, law enforcement programs, functions, or operations encompassing the overall law enforcement mission of the organization. Plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees studies and surveys to evaluate branch programs and ensure efficiency and economy of operations. Coordinates projects/programs with management officials in branches and divisions within a directorate at ATF Headquarters and officials from the DOJ or other Federal, State, local law enforcement agencies. Advises the deputy division chief and/or division chief on significant issues and matters pertaining to branch programs and projects, e.g., the impact of new technology, new initiatives, etc.
