You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE. Salary Range: GS-07: $52,158 - $67,809 GS-09: $63,800 - $82,938 The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing advisory on a wide range of recruitment, staffing, and placement services to include strategic hiring methods, occupational design of the position, pay and compensation flexibilities, and/or qualification & eligibility requirements in accordance with human resources management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical methods. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing a wide range of Human Resources (HR) services in recruitment, staffing and/or placement to include utilizing human resources automated database system. You will ensure compliance with DON staffing policies and procedures.
You will consult with management personnel to resolve controversial, complex and difficult problems related to staffing.
You will gather facts and analyze information to support activities with position management and succession planning.
You will assist in developing strategic recruitment advisory services.
You will plan and coordinate programs that assist civilian employees during transition.
