Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Technician in the Availability Planning Division, Modernization and Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership and technical guidance on systems engineering, software/hardware engineering, cybersecurity, modernization, and testing and evaluation principles and practices to evaluate program requirements, develop budgets, and manage product delivery schedules for surface warfare combat systems projects. You will provide oversight and direction of In-Service Engineering and fleet support functions such as distance and on-site support; modernization; systems engineering; cybersecurity; and Test and Evaluation for weapon, combat, missile systems.
You will provide communication on technical, programmatic, financial and administrative efforts required to support products and services provided to the fleet and program office customers.
You will provide oversight and mentorship of all employees in the branch to ensure the technical and career development of all employees.
You will provide leadership in Command initiatives related to strategic studies, planning, and execution.
You will develop budget requirements, proposals, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS); execute spend plans and monitor branch financial statuses.
You will develop, execute, and manage product delivery schedules, monitor technical performance, and analyze new developments for potential application to program requirements.
