The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT, FUNCTION 022 DIVISION, FUNCTION 0223 BRANCH of CARDEROCK DIV NS.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. You will carry out procurement of services, hardware, equipment and materials for the NSWC Carderock Division
You will use the full range of procurement methods, including Large Purchase, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and the Government Purchase Card.
You will support responsibilities for planning, guiding, directing, and administering contract execution and policy related matters.
You will participate on contract review boards, performs quality assurance reviews, conducts training and provides support organizational, staffing, personnel management, and policy issues.
You plan and coordinate with branch employees to develop negotiation objectives for cost/price comparison.
