Specialized Experience for the GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Management, oversight, coordination, and execution of multi-discipline technical study, design, or construction teams for complex and/or highly technical projects and/or programs; (2) Serves as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to project design and responds directly to customer, stakeholder, and/or agencies; (3) Provides or oversees technical reviews for quality control and quality assurance; and/or (4) Establishes policy and standard operating procedures to ensure overall design quality. This position serves as a Design Manager / Engineering Technical Lead (ETL) within Engineering Division responsible for effectively managing various aspects of planning, design, and construction across a diverse portfolio of Programs.
This position is responsible for providing professional engineering expertise in the preparation of contract design drawings, analysis, technical specifications, feasibility studies, and the development of scopes of work.
The position requires a broad technical background and experience in various project design management functions.
Ensures technical quality for assigned projects and serves as point of contact for issues related to technical quality.
Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental considerations for projects
Generates quality management plans for assigned projects
Facilitates resolution of technical problems by determining actions required, tracking actions to completion, and coordinating resolution with all stakeholders.
