About the Position: This Military Technician position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, 81st Readiness Division, Reserve Pay and Accounting Center, Greenville, South Carolina. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Utilizing office automation systems (i.e., spreadsheets, word processing, databases) for a variety of work products, AND Preparing correspondence with grammatical accuracy for dissemination to customers; AND Process a variety of personnel or pay actions for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Process complex pay entitlements for accuracy.
Provide technical expertise to support internal customers.
Research personnel programs to prepare administrative records.
Maintain administrative files in accordance with policy.
Analyze statistical reports for inconsistencies.
