Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, Trade Regulatory Audit (TRA), Special Projects Branch, Location Negotiable After Selection.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Performing a full range of research, analytical duties, liaison activities, and ad hoc special assignments related to the mission and functions of the office. Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a major segment of OTs administrative program. Planning, conducting, and participating in special studies, personally, and through team members. Providing advice to managers; assisting field offices; and assisting in evaluating policies in assigned program areas. Demonstrating interpersonal and administrative skills, sufficient to organize and coordinate thorough, systematic, professional efforts to meet planning needs, and to provide written and oral reports with conclusions, alternatives, and recommendations on OT policies, projects, or studies to OT, CBP and DHS management. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/26/2025. In this position as a Management and Program Analyst you will directly support the Assistant Director, Special Projects Branch. You will manage administrative programs and provide administrative and analytical support to the Office of Trade. This position starts at a salary of $88,621.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $115,213.00 (GS-12, Step 10) CBP Office of Trade is the architect of the most robust customs system in the world and the second largest revenue source for the U.S. Government. Ensuring accurate and appropriately concise and timely information is available to executive management. Providing detailed data reports from various programs to management for visibility and decision making. Reviewing submissions for substance, conformance with instructions, completeness, and authorizations for required changes and modifications.
