The Maintenance Supervisor posses the skill and knowledge to supervise, plan, direct, and administer maintenance operations to include; coordination of all activities for the electricians, maintenance mechanic, maintenance workers, and air conditioning mechanics of an operational unit within Facility Management Service.

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Duties are typically performed in all buildings in the Medical Center and is required to monitor activities throughout the entire facility, which are comprised of non-housekeeping quarter, offices, locker rooms, laboratories, operating rooms, general and specialized medical areas, and psychiatric wards.
This HVAC & Electrical Section Supervisor position is organizationally located in the Maintenance and Operation Section within the Engineering Service, in which Engineering Service reports to the Associate Director of Operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Major function of the position includes A/C Equipment Mechanics and Industrial Equipment Mechanics who operate, maintain and repair the HVAC and electrical systems throughout the facility. Plans and schedules the work of subordinate employees to operate and maintain the utility and structures on campus. Furnishes technical instructions on new or more difficult operational tasks. Assists on difficult tasks such as diagnosing trouble and deciding whether equipment can be used or should be repaired.
