Job Description:
You will serve as a Technical Project Manager in the Fleet Readiness Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer providing leadership and guidance in the application of engineering analysis techniques, technical assessment methods, and system evaluation processes to provide lifecycle management and financial monitoring of ship combat systems engineering projects for a naval warfare program. You will lead and manage the comprehensive coordination, funding, and closeout of Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) passes to Total Ship Readiness Assessment and Combat Systems Assessment Team events.
You will provide strategic technical coordination and liaison with Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC), In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), government agencies, and contractors to ensure effective execution of fleet readiness initiatives.
You will provide strategic planning, budgeting, funding coordination, and continuous monitoring of program operations and execution processes to ensure alignment with fleet operational requirements and delivery timelines.
You will provide technical expertise for the development, review, and validation of technical requirements and processes associated with the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of fleet readiness programs.
You will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to execute complex technical projects and ensure seamless integration of fleet readiness activities.
