Job Description:

A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.
Select Factor (Screen Out): You must have a current Arizona Department of Health Services Level I Water Treatment Operators Certificate and Arizona Department of Health Services Level II Wastewater Treatment Operators Certificate. Out of state certifications may be considered but must be same level as Arizona requirements. You must provide copies of your current water treatment operators certifications with your application. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc. Technical practices Use of measuring instruments Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. Ability to use and maintain tools If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. Major Duties of this position include: Ensures the water treatment and distribution process is compliant with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) standards. Responsible for water quality monitoring, sampling, testing and reporting. Ensures the wastewater collection process is in compliance with the ADEQ and USPHS standards. Operates a pumper truck to maintain septic tanks at all restrooms and vault toilets throughout the park. Performs functional maintenance and repairs to various types of above- and below- ground pipe materials, connection systems, valves, clamps, gauges, meters, electrical motors, pumps, chemical feeders, auxiliary generators, and related devices.
