To qualify for a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS} positions only}, time-after competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Develop collaborative forecasts with the customer for those items that have demonstrated demand patterns and for those that support the application of statistical methods of prediction. Research and analyze reports which identify information that is relevant to the planning process across many products. Evaluating the effectiveness of current tools, policies, and processes in order to recommend improvements. Manage daily operations in a fast paced, ever changing work environment, providing clear direction and guidance to subordinates. Work with laws, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to supply and inventory management. Manage in accordance with Audit Readiness guidelines, ensuring inventory reconciliations are done timely and accurately. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Serves as the Chief of the assigned Item Planning Team.
Manages studies and special projects regarding/affecting plans, goals, and initiatives.
Monitors the collection, consolidation and analysis of metrics and data used to inform DLA operating officials regarding the viability, effectiveness, and efficiency of Team programs
Plans, directs, organizes, and executes activities and programs of the Supply Planning Team.
Analyzes trends or conditions affecting the Supply Planning Teams' activities and provide comprehensive customer and Agency support for assigned programs.
Performs a full range of supervisory functions for the assigned Supply Planning Team.
Coordinates and motivates a team approach of shared responsibility and commitment to provide improved support to internal/external customers.
Manages inventory reconciliations
