Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Procedures & Process Improvement Branch (Code 712), Engineering Technical Division (Code 710), Lifting and Handling Department (Code 700) of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying engineering principles to crane engineering, making sound interpretations of content and directing others to take action on those interpretations, maintaining a vast array of local instructions, creating new local instructions when needed, communicating effectively in writing and orally, maintaining key written instructions for the Department, and preparing and reviewing written technical instructions. You will provide long-range planning necessary to ensure timely accomplishment of required work.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will review the various work products of the branch and assume responsibility for the technical and administrative adequacy as well as timely completion of the work performed by the subordinates.
You will evaluate performance of subordinates’ work efforts.
You will provide all necessary managerial and administrative duties associated with the operation of the branch.
You will prepare recommendations for hiring, promotions, transfers, reassignments, recognitions and disciplinary actions.
