About the Position: This position is located at the Madigan Army Medical Center's Nutrition Care Division, Food Production and Services Tacoma, Washington. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Service Worker Leader ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform a variety of duties incident to the maintenance, cleanliness, and decoration of the work area. Wash dishes, pots, and pans, either manually or by use of mechanical equipment; disassemble, clean and reassemble dish washing machine after use. Setting up dining room for service; remove used utensils and dishes to dish washing area. Employee must bend and stoop in loading trays on delivery carts. Frequently lifts up to 60 pounds, i.e., cases of food and milk. Working Conditions: Work is performed predominantly in noisy kitchen and dining room areas; involves continuous standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used; exposed to dirt, grease, and water in cleaning tasks. Incumbent is subject to extremes of temperature in bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. There is danger of slipping on floors that are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverage has been dropped.???????
Ensure that all recipes, supplies, utensils, and expendable supplies are available to support items by daily requisitioning supplies on appropriate forms.
Answer workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders).
Ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
Set up and replenishes food service steam tables with hot and cold food as directed.
Check work in progress and/or upon completion.
