What are we looking for? Three years of experience related to contracting/concessionaire operations or generalized business management practices. Must be able to successfully complete the Contracting Officers' Representative (COR) Training within thirty (30) days of appointment. Must be thoroughly familiar with MCCS policies, orders, and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of management, staff, customers, vendors, and headquarters elements.
What to Expect Responsible for coordinating and assisting in the oversight of indirect operations which includes, but is not limited to; national brand food operations, food trucks, and caterers. Identifies new service opportunities as a result of patron surveys, community interactions, and/or customers suggestions. Reports and provides technical expertise in the management and administration of contracts for food and beverage operations with MCCS from the time of award through the contract's expiration or termination and final retirement of records. Oversees contractor performance, ensures adherence to the terms and conditions of the contract, and coordinates with the Food & Beverage Director for issues that cannot be resolved at the lowest level. Analyzes contractor's performance by performing inspections, accepts supplies and services, approves payments, and recommends solutions to problems or concerns during the contract period. Informs chain of command and Regional Procurement Office (RPO) of potential performance problems. Handles routine matters, contract files, and forwards information to RPO. Prepares periodic reports which may include Contractor Performance Report, Contracting Office Representative (COR) Business Review, Inspections, and HQ-COR or L-COR reports. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
