Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AIRCRAFT CARRIER PROGRAM of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing life-cycle logistical support for new development programs, new construction, and in-service support and sustainment for shipbuilding program. You will lead support and sustainment by defining class-applicable product support policies, establishing strategic goals, managing relevant milestones and associated deliverables, planning and executing relevant contractual and financial activities.
You will manage, plan and execute efforts required to ensure proper Logistics Management Support for Aircraft Carrier Programs including New Construction (NEWCON) and class assets in-service.
You will apply sustainment concepts, logistics support analyses, principles and practices to new developments, and experimental theories to solve obscure problems.
You will resolve ILS deficiencies and analyze product support effectiveness to accomplish sustainment and logistics readiness goals.
You will achieve work unit goals by leading and working together with a multi-faceted team of Life Cycle Support Managers, Engineers, Financial Analysts, Contract Managers, and Project Managers.
You will communicate complex information, concepts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and timely manner and collaborate to resolve diverse viewpoints on controversial issues.
You will represent the enterprise at high-level meetings, conferences, or forums.
