This position is located in the Enterprise Physical Security Division (EPSD). The EPSD provides full spectrum protection for the Pentagon Reservation and designated facilities throughout NCR. Services include management, administration, and sustainment of one of the largest, most complex electronic security systems. The EPSD provides a range of security offerings to include physical security, electronic security, contract management, system administration, management of security applications.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your experience in 1) providing technical and financial oversight of assigned projects and clearly conveys cost versus benefits of different proposed technical approaches; 2) overseeing, reviewing, coordinating, evaluating, and providing technical advice on and security systems and projects; and 3) communicating contractual requirements to customers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: The employee serves as a team member on the Contract Management and Quality Assurance (CMQA) team. The employee serves as an alternate Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and/or Government Purchase Card holder for the ISSC a large multi-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contractual vehicle that allows for the bulk of PFPA electronic security services taking place across its area of responsibility. Forecasts and communicates contractual requirements (fiscal year cut-offs, contractual requirements, capability briefings to ISSC customers). The employee is responsible for all daily administrative actions related to EPSD contractual efforts, to include project tracking (from project inception to project closure), ISSC government purchase credit card expenditures, reconciliation of commitments and obligations, acceptance of customer funding, as well as all Contracting Officer (KO) assigned responsibilities in accordance with COR appointment. Coordinates remedy of malfunctioning sensors with applicable responsible entities.
