Job Description:

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the SECNAV of NAVAUDSVC HQ WASHINGTON DC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience includes directing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise information systems; providing expert technical advice and recommendations to senior leadership; AND interpreting and enforcing DoD/DON IT policies and procedures to resolve complex issues, ensure compliance with information assurance requirements, and manage budget, contracts, and personnel that impact organizational mission success. You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of NASIMS, ensuring enterprise systems meet mission needs, resolving complex technical challenges, and coordinating with senior leadership to align IT priorities with organizational goals.
You will manage certification and accreditation of enterprise systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, implement security controls, and oversee disaster recovery strategies to ensure compliance with DoD/DON information assurance policies.
You will supervise IT and software development staff, establish performance standards, conduct evaluations, resolve issues, and provide training opportunities to strengthen skills while ensuring delivery of secure, reliable IT services.
You will manage IT contracts and procurement, conduct market research, submit NAV-ITAS requests, plan annual IT budgets, prepare briefings to justify mission requirements, and coordinate with DoD, DON, and vendors to support operations.
You will provide expert advice to senior leadership on information management, system integration, and emerging technologies, develop internal IT policies, interpret directives, and enforce compliance to ensure secure, efficient operations.
