Job Description:
This is a standard position located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent House Office Buildings, Director, Planning, Analytics and Business Processes, Inventory Management Branch. The incumbent serves as a Tools and Parts Attendant (Fork Lift Operator) utilizing Fork Lifts and pallet-jacks to unload and move materials, equipment and supplies to distribution locations or storage rooms.

You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position: Utilizing automated stock keeping systems to monitor inventory and unload and/or move materials, equipment and supplies to distribution locations or storage rooms.
Tour of duty for this position is: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays and weekends. Duties include, but are not limited to: Operate Fork Lifts with a load capacity of less than 10,000 pounds and a height range up to 168 inches to unload construction material from vendor delivery trucks and place on shelving. Drive vans and/or sedans and pickup trucks to transport materials and staff to various locations. Monitor the stock on hand of tools, parts and other supplies and materials. Report items that are in short supply due to higher-than-normal demand, breakage or frequency of repair. Prepare requests to order such items and requests for items not normally kept in stock. Prepare item descriptions for new items introduced into the system. Coordinate the movement of incoming and outgoing supplies and placement of materials with the docking and storage areas. Perform other related duties as assigned.
