About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Nellis AFB, NV. Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 34 hours per week. This position does offer benefits. Required to lift and carry heavy equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and handles heavier objects. Works indoor and outdoors during all weather conditions.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in a NAF facility or similar recreation/rental operation. Ability and skill in dealing with the public. Rectrac POS experience and cash handling is highly desirable. Word processing and computer skills are desirable but not mandatory.
Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. Establishes schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Provides insight and professional recommendations on rental items and information about local and surrounding area. Informs patrons of all rules and regulations established for the facility. Identifies patrons that are late and makes contact to ensure items are returned. Responsible for the daily operation of the equipment rental during managers' absence. Operates cash register, accepts payment, makes change, and issues receipts for rentals, RV storage, and trips. Prepares daily cashiers' report and conducts deposits at the Accounting Office (AO). Accesses Services Agency Information System (SAIS) to prepare daily financial reports and end of month inventory accounting reports. Conducts daily inventories of rental items to ensure proper accountability and report inconsistencies to the manager. Assists with balancing the Equipment Rental inventory account provided by the AO. Maintains RV storage documentation such as insurance/registration and contacts patrons to update expired documents. Assists manager with orbital auto payment processing and end of month reports to include declines. Contacts patrons listed on decline report to clear variances. Assist manager with providing daily tasks for Recreation Aids. Maintains rental area and office in an orderly and tidy appearance. Checks equipment before rental and upon return for discrepancies, makes necessary adjustments for replacing minor parts when necessary and reports all major repairs needed to manager/maintenance team. Will accomplish completed walk around checklists for all large rental items. Tests rental and boating equipment for safe operation. Demonstrates equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as camping and boating. Inspects Outdoor Recreation and equipment for security and general conditions.
