As a Supervisory Immigration Services Officer (Deputy District Director), you will provide complex, technical, supervisory and management oversight for District functions and projects.
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 12/05/2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Serving as a senior-level expert and advisor to District Leadership in developing and/or analyzing overall policies, programs, regulations and short- and long-range plans. Providing technical supervision to multiple levels of subordinates engaged in programs administering immigration benefits and services, processing citizenship applications and family and employment-based petitions and registration. Serving as an expert or consultant to senior management officials on the resolution of extremely sensitive and complicated immigration issues. Providing guidance and performance expectations to employees to encourage career growth and advancement and developing and motivating employees to enhance organization excellence. Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within S21 and are assigned based on the need of the agency.
Direct immigration programs and related functions in accordance with broad program objectives and policies established by USCIS Headquarters, the Regional and District Director, and oversee Fraud Detection and National Security activities.
