Located in Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, in the House of Management Division. Responsible for contact with audience managing sections of front house operations. The incumbent also plans, schedules, and assigns work providing technical and policy direction. The seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-December but can vary during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026

This experience includes having at least one (1) year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work which indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the positions to be filled. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least two years above high school. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the required education completed percentage. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts. The major duties of the Usher GS-0303-04 position include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet, Direct, inform and assist patrons with facility orientation and complaint resolution. Provide clear, tactful oral communication to patrons and fellow staff members. Resolves patron complaints concerning performance and environmental issues within the theater. Provides resolution to complaints from lower level staff and volunteers.
