Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) directing the activities of subordinates engaged in law enforcement activities; 2) coordinating emergency responses between emergency units; 3) ensuring patrols are in compliance with police standard operating procedures; 4) utilizing laws and regulations to maintain order and protect life or property; 5) responding to calls for police assistance and emergency situations; 6) conducting investigations of crimes or suspected criminal activities
Performs near-term and long-range strategic planning and analysis evaluating programs and issues for the organization, producing tasks and Operations Orders (OPORDs) for the Division’s elements
Oversees and analyzes crime and incident statistics (ie: ISR, COMPSTAT, and Man-Power Allocation)that identify trends developing action plans and recommendations for the Deputy Chief of Police on deployment of police assets.
Patrols areas of White Sands as directed, including paved/unpaved roads, recreational areas ,training areas, cantonment and housing, ranges, etc.
Conducts initial police investigations. Recommends changes to reduce opportunities for theft and illegal entry
