Major Duties Include: Operate trucks and various types of heavy equipment including but not limited to; loaders and skid steers, dump trucks, garbage and sewer pumper trucks. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment. Operate heavy trucks to perform paving and chip seal operations. Perform variety of physical work like; flagging, digging, sweeping, sign repair, use of oil and water based emulsions and clearing vegetation, related to road maintenance. 95% of work is performed outdoors in mountainous terrain, in adverse and severe weather, in low visibility, and often without direct supervision.
