Job Description:
This position is located at the Peak but may fill other vacancies in the Business Recreation Division. This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: ability to lead the work of other barista staff, AND possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and inventory, AND skill in mixing and serving the full range of coffee beverages and other specialty non-alcoholic drinks, AND experience utilizing a commercial espresso machine, AND ability cross train and monitor the work of other staff. Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing barista work. The highest level of non-supervisory work led is Barista (Coffee Shop Attendant), NA-7401-04.
Leads the team in the operation of a small full-service coffee shop. Assures that safety and cleaning guidelines are followed. Demonstrates proper work methods and trains team on the proper use of all food and drink preparation equipment.
Prepares and serves a full range of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
Keeps records of quantities of beverages and other goods dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor and conducts monthly inventory.
