Job Description:
This position is in the Infrastructure and Operations Services Branch (IOSB) within the CIOO organization and responsible for providing leadership and expertise, oversight, and vendor management, of major infrastructure support contracts and advising senior leadership. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious/spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as (1) leading or managing IT infrastructure platform or modernization program and architecture impacting agency mission critical applications or systems, (2) leading or managing procurement activities to include the oversight of multiple federal government contracts and vendor management; and (3) maintaining IT application solutions. Lead assigned program, portfolio, and/or product line teams in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees. Define and guide high-level product / application portfolio goals and Roadmaps Support efforts of Microsoft Azure architecture to design, configure, implement, maintain, and optimize SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS products for agency-wide use in meeting business and security requirements. Provide guidance, justifications for major program, platform, and/or product change recommendations, mitigates risks, and introduces new technologies Provides advice on work methods, practices, and procedures and assists the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution. Represent the program, portfolio and/or product team and convey the team's findings and recommendations to other team leaders, program officials, leadership, and stakeholders Creates briefs and drafts requirements for new cloud-based initiatives
