This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: maintaining order and protecting life and property, using federal, state, or local law enforcement regulations to conduct police desk operations such as maintaining police blotters and journals, review of police reports, and management of police officer personnel.
The incumbent serves as a Shift Supervisor for the Law Enforcement force assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at IMCOM supported installations.
Supervisory Police Officers are responsible for responses to and investigates emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service.
Conducts traffic law enforcement patrol using specialized equipment such as radar, Lidar and breathalyzer.
Operates motor vehicle which may involve high speed pursuit of suspects. Conducts investigative stops, questions, detains, and issues traffic citations as required.
Investigations/Surveillance: Performs protection duties to deter, detect, and deny unauthorized access at fixed installation, internal compound, and incident perimeter posts.
Protects personnel, material, tactical military assets, and high value assets by executing daily RAM and supplemental anti-terrorism measures during increased force protection conditions.
