This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2981000 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. MILITARY GRADES: Officer/ Warrant Officer/ Enlisted, O3 thru E7 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience with property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management. Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-0346-9, you will develop, implement and evaluate the logistics and property accountability policies for the organization. Is the primary advisor for the command in the area of logistics and property book operations. Oversees and reviews unit level feeder reports. Analyzes and/or prepares the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations relative to current and future MTOE/TDA and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on organizational equipment authorizations. Keeps abreast and ensures the implementation of new policy statements, regulations and directives issued by higher headquarters concerning logistics and property accountability activities. Provides guidance and assistance to ensure command programs have been implemented and evaluates their effectiveness in subordinate elements. Plans for the establishment and operation of the Administrative and Logistics Operations Center (ALOC). Develops and implements tactical standard operating procedures for logistics. Plans, develops, and maintains actions/procedures for the immediate and subordinate organizations in preparation for the transfer of all or part of accountable property for deployment to include pre-mobilization and post-mobilization.
