This HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) position, is located within a Military Personnel Flight (MPF) of an Air National Guard (ANG) flying wing and is part of the CA 146 AW.
General Experience: Possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs. HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force; Providing training to supervisors on all military human resources issues; Providing administrative control, management, development and advisory service for military awards and decorations; Experience within the MPF for various entitlement programs (i.e., TRICARE medical/dental, Survivors Benefit Plan, Thrifty Savings Plan (TSP), Family Care Program, etc). THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, is to administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and/or Readiness. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
