Job Description:
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for leading major program studies with emphasis on assessing those programs that pertain to SCO assessment and SCO country-unique mission sets and activities.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: overseeing the selection, training, and assignment of personnel to outside if the continental of United States; providing administrative, budgetary, and resource support to the SCOs, SCO members, and families. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a Management Analyst (Lead) at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Leads a team of functional specialists required to schedule, resource, and deploy personnel to security cooperation organizations (SCOs)duties in US Embassies and provide functional support to those SCOs Liaises with counterparts at higher echelons, national agency headquarters, and U.S. Embassies to keep abreast of current SC operations support plans, projects, and events. Leads major program studies with emphasis on assessing those programs that pertain to SCO assessment and SCO country-unique mission sets and activities. Researches, learns, and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
