To qualify for an IT Project Manager (APPSW), your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-ingrade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Prepares and maintains project plans in accordance with established standards Analyzes assigned projects and associated customer requests to identify best course of action, taking into account time, cost, and resource availability Develops briefing materials presents software development and integration project options to customers and all affected parties Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget aligned to assigned projects. B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Responsible for collaborating, assessing, preparing and delivering detailed project proposals and cost estimates, working in collaboration with numerous officials
Analyzes system change requests to determine and recommend logical approaches for incremental deliveries
Negotiates and documents project commitments with appropriate J6 organizations to ensure timely execution of project plans, in accordance with established schedules and within budget
Manages testing, integration, implementation and post-production support activities
Provides oversight for system engineering, configuration management, and cybersecurity requirements to ensure that the program remains in compliance with Agency policies
Manages scope, schedule, and budget aligned to assigned projects.
Collaborates with customers, contractors, and vendors supporting applications built on the ServiceNow platform.
