THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2162000 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. THIS APPOINTMENT IS TEMPORARY NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR.
Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year equivalent to the next lower grade level, experience education or knowledge performing administrative office support functions and developing, coordinating, and publishing all SF installation level publications to include the Installation Security Plan, the Installation Security Instruction, and SF annexes to all installation plans. Responsible for the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program. Advises the MAJCOM SF IDS program manager of any base or site activities that will impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) program. This includes, but is not limited to, mission changes resulting in increase or decrease of resources, reconfiguration of resource areas, and construction of facilities on or in the vicinity of current and planned sensor locations. Experience managing entry control point (ECP) related applications associated with DBIDS and the Security Forces Information Management System (SFMIS). Managing the functional and operational sustainment of all data processing programs such as DBIDS, SFMIS, and other systems installed and/or programmed for the ECP. Producing and maintaining any related reports for command echelon personnel.
This position is located in an Air National Guard Wing, Mission Support Group, Security Forces (SF)Squadron. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for all base electronic security systems by performing electronic security systems duties and managing all functions necessary to sustain electronic security protection in all areas of the installation.
