Job Description:
You will serve as a Team Lead in the Waterfront Logistics Division, Modernization and Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing leadership and expertise in Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to resolve complex programmatic, financial, technical, and logistics problems affecting the installation and modernization of shipboard systems and equipment. You will provide expert level logistics services related to life-cycle logistics, such as logistics outfitting, new construction, integration and test, modernization supportability, and other events.
You will lead personnel in providing roles and responsibilities associated with the Logistics Representative competency and Waterfront Logistics Operations.
You will lead multi-discipline, multi-activity teams to resolve complex programmatic, technical, and logistics issues.
You will provide logistic services to ensure that Combat Systems and their elements are successfully supported on Surface Combatants during availability and modernization events.
You will perform technical reviews on logistics assessments, products, processes, and policies, in order to ensure team members are meeting critical event milestones.
You will provide timely feedback to Management, Program Sponsors, and various event stakeholders as required on Integrated Product Support elements.
You will resolve issues and provide the customer with a recommended path forward to help resolve any deficiencies or discrepancies.
You will demonstrate knowledge of Naval Logistics Policies and Processes, Systems Engineering principles, In Service Engineering and Logistics support service, the Fleet Modernization Program and Logistics support of Naval Surface Warfare Systems.
