Job Description:
The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SENSORS WEAPONS and LAUNCHERS DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting project management and analyzing financial information and related problems to make timely and effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions while managing programs and fostering an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission. You will serve as Administrative Technical Specialist and must be able to work within the budgetary and programmatic environment established by the Program Executive Offices for Integrated Warfare Systems and NAVAIR Program Management Office.
You will review and analyze options, decide on a prudent course of action, and influence the decisions of others in authority to accept his or her decision.
You will provide oversight of technical functions, accept special actions and participate in various working groups, special projects and Integrated Product Teams .
You will implement programmatic/technical requirements through all phases of the life cycle for ordnance.
You will establish technical requirements, coordination of tasking between branches and entities, developing and maintaining continuous liaison with both NAVSEA/PEO and NAVAIR/PMA sponsors and Fleet customers.
You will provide technical review coordination, attendance at scheduled technical reviews, assisting in the coordination and communication of sponsor objectives, development of Task Planning Sheets and Statements of Work.
