Job Description:

You will serve as a Security Specialist within NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY CONUS. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Managing a comprehensive security program utilizing demonstrated knowledge of Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial security requirements, policies, and regulations; 2) Managing personnel Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearances to include conducting SCI pre-screening interviews, indoctrinations and debriefings, and initiating and tracking re-investigations utilizing databases such as eQIP/eAPP (NBIS); 3) Executing an information security program to include classification management and document control, developing and implementing security education and training, and enforcing physical security policy and guidance in accordance with established directives; and 4) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing. You will support the administration/management of NRL SCI Programs in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD-705) and DOD SCI Administrative Security Manuals (5105.21).
You will act as NRL Port Hueneme (NRLPH) Special Security Representative, providing onsite security expertise and guidance.
You will assist the NRLPH Security Section Head in executing NRL SSO related functions onsite.
You will be responsible for the command's overall security posture to include information security including classification management and document control, physical security, personnel security, and security education and training.
