This LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER position, is part of the CA 144 FW.
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level, in: identifying activities involving logistical support operations; experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions; experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13, is to provide overall senior level supervisory management of the logistics personnel and programs. Plans, directs, and administers logistics programs to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Supervises positions engaged in substantive logistics work. Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, internal controls and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the State and Federal missions.
