This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1953000 and is part of the PA 171st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG employees at the 171st ARW AOC 2: NG employees in the 171st Air Refueling Wing (This includes 258th ATCS, 146 Weather Flight, 146 ARS, and 147 ARS) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4 All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT: Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status. INDEFINITE: Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician. Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period. Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice. Manpower #/01152722 *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07, you will perform mission capability (MICAP) verification, reports and processes cannibalization actions. Establish requirements for customer using automated systems and notifies customer of asset availability. Process Aircraft Document Review (ADR). Manage the DIFM listing, validates/updates DIFM listing with status by processing required transaction as necessary. Manage the Supply Point program. Manage the AWP program. Maintain Tail Number Bin (TNB) and Due-Out Release (DOR) point. Review Two-Level Maintenance (2LM) metrics listing and takes appropriate action to improve repair cycle time. Establish, maintain and delete bench stocks in coordination with supported activities. During periods of manpower constraints may be required to pull and deliver parts from various storage points. Attend daily/monthly meetings with maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned.
