You will serve as a MANAGER in the SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalency) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector directing and managing administrative and technical services (i.e. personnel, equipment management, budget, simulations, system launches) to oversee in-service engineering and life-cycle processes for the improvement of Naval surface ship combat weapon systems. You will be responsible for the administrative. personnel, technical, and financial management of the assigned division.
You will identify budget requirements and collaborate with the project office to allocate and manage approved funds.
You will maintain status metrics that document significant contributions,.
You will manage the integration, testing, evaluation, and assessment of the Navy's surface ship combat weapons systems.
You will manage systems and equipment critical for carrying, launching, and delivering ordnance such as missiles, fire control systems, launchers, gun systems, radar and simulations.
You will oversee the integrations of all interfaces within ship combat systems and warfare elements.
You will lead and direct the development ensuring effective coordination and performance of personnel.
You will need a mastery of naval systems and concepts to provide systems engineering, test and evaluation, in-service engineering, and acquisitions support for ships/combat/weapon systems.
