Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Neuropsychology): Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience: Includes evaluating patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), providing neuropsychological assessments, and providing recommendations from a neuropsychological perspective. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
Provides neuropsychological screening and assessment (clinical interview, assessment, scoring, interpretation, report writing) with a broad range of active duty service members and eligible retirees and dependents.
Employs a wide variety of neuropsychological assessment techniques.
Including quantitative, qualitative, interview/historical, and other neuropsychological measures to establish psychological and neuropsychological diagnoses for complex neuropsychological and organic brain-behavior disturbances.
Disseminates clinical conclusions regarding the psychological and behavioral effects of CNS dysfunction to the other medical personnel for use in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Evaluates the full spectrum of basic to complex neuropsychological cases.
