This vacancy is for a Supervisory Business and Industry Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Managing strategic planning, major policy initiatives, and management priorities to senior leadership. Preparing and presenting oral and written communications, interacting with internal and external executives, managers, federal agencies, customers and employees on policy guidance, strategic direction and status of projects; Developing, amending, or appealing public administrative regulations, subject to the Administrative Procedure Act, that disseminate program guidance for applications across organizational lines; Evaluating regulatory frameworks or risk frameworks related to financial, information and communications technology, telecommunication export control, import control, federal acquisition, CFUIS, or licensing.
As a Supervisory Business and Industry Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Plans and manages policy development and management segment of the ICTS Program. Examines issues and offers comprehensive Works closely with internal stakeholders in the Department to support development of goals and objectives related to high levels of program management and development or formulation. Performs supervisory duties for a staff of policy specialist.
