Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Corporate Operations Department (10), ACIO/Information Technology (IT) Division (104), Information Technology Management Customer Services (1042) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. This position may be eligible for Supervisory Pay Differential of up to four (4) percent.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures for management of IT services, cost, or resources to ensure IT compliance and maintain effectiveness and efficiency of IT programs, systems, or platforms for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will manage the NMCI/NGEN service orders, deliveries, technical evaluations of proposed infrastructure changes, end user support and liaison between users and NMCI technical support.
You will manage the command's landline telephone services, ordering, delivery, end user support, trouble ticket processing and tracking, new service and infrastructure planning and processing, host (CNI/NDW) and NAVSEA telecom services interface.
You will communicate with department heads, division directors, branch managers and end users for telecommunication services, including landline and cellular telephone and data services, on service issues, changes, and requests for new services.
You will communicate with NAVSEA, PEO-EIS, the Infrastructure Division (102), the Security Division (105), the Cybersecurity Office (1043), and the NMCI contractor on NMCI/NGEN procurements, service issues and NMCI infrastructure changes/upgrades.
You will communicate with department heads, division directors, branch managers and end users about the policies and requirements for the Navy's Information Technology (IT) approval system (NAV-ITAS) and assist with the IT approval process.
You will be responsible for policy interpretation and enforcement, contribution to HQ level policy reviews, responding to data calls from Ech I, II and III, and participating in NAVSEA and Warfare Center Communities Of Practice (COP).
