This vacancy is for aWG-3502-4, Laborer MVO located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, TRACEN CAPE MAY STRUCTURES in CAPE MAY, New Jersey.

This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Training Center, Facilities Engineering Division, Maintenance Branch, Cape May, NJ. You will serve as a Laborer MVO with the purpose to perform general laborer support to gardeners, carpenters, electricians, maintenance mechanics, etc. Exclusively operates large heavy equipment. Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. Typical duties include: Maintaining roads and grounds. Operating equipment such as dump truck, Kobota backhoe and front end loader, bucket truck, Snorkel man lift, street sweeper, Toro Dingo ditch witch, John Deere tractor, Toro Dingo auger, Toro Dingo roto tiller, Tool Cat snow plow, and Tool Cat snow blower. Providing preventive maintenance to include checking and changing oil and gas/diesel for all heavy equipment. Serving as pest management liaison to identify and control vermin infestation and habitat, and report findings to pest control contractor. Setting up and/or rearranging tables, chairs or bleachers. Standing fire watch for special projects. Operating large, complex riding mowers.
