Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating and overseeing the implementation of environmental program management affecting base and tenant activities AND determining and implementing viable solutions for meeting environmental compliance and regulatory requirements. You will oversee the implementation of the policy, procedure, guidance, quality assurance surveillance plan, contract, or project through completion to ensure it meets the original requirements.
You will develop written policies, negotiating positions, procedures, guidance, contract specifications, quality assurance surveillance plans, and project funding information to execute the best course of action.
You will identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to correct problems and coordinate with appropriate commands.
You will revise environmental procedures, provide training, monitor progress, and take corrective actions as necessary.
You will serve as the principal advisor and senior technical and regulatory authority in matters related to environmental program management.
You will develop and coordinate implementation of a compliance framework and strategy for base-wide land, air, and water resources, and environmental compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
You will develop, implement, and manage new programs where specific guidance is not available and procedures require frequent modification to incorporate revised theories and techniques.
You will accomplish personnel management functions, to include establishing performance standards, evaluating performance, serving as the reviewing official on performance evaluations, initiating personnel actions and approving recruits.
